80% of the young people of Madrid subjected to precarious formation conditions
Madrid trade unions CC.OO and UGT require regular contracts and more rights for young people
In Madrid the largest problem existing for young people consists in finding the first job. As a result estimated 80 % of the young people are subjected to precarious formation conditions without work contract and rights.
Therefore the trade unions of Madrid require a replacement of the limited contracts by regular contracts and the same rights, wages and working hours for young people with limited contracts. Furthermore there is a need of consistent city training programmes on the local job market.
The lack of supply of rental appartments in particular affects young people. Therefore the trade unions require the supply of public building land for an intensified construction of social housing.
These demands are brought into the current negotiations of the trade unions with the autonomous region Madrid on an agreement for the stabilization of the employment situation.
